Solo Trombone

Elliot Gray

Originally from South Shields, Tyne and Wear, Elliot was encouraged to play the trombone by his Grandad (Gary Young, former solo horn of Carlton Main Frickley Band).

In 2014 Elliot became a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain. This gave him the opportunity to play and perform in some awe-inspiring venues around the country.

In 2019 Elliot began studying with Brett Baker at the University of Salford, Manchester. During his first two years at University, Elliot has performed Rimsky Korsakov’s Trombone Concerto with the University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, being part of Salford’s first Win at UniBrass 2020 and playing with Black Dyke Band at the RNCM Brass Festival in Manchester.
